Middle High School teacher Leann Stohs and Elementary School teacher’s aide Kyle Daniel were named Lucerne Valley Unified School District’s Employees of the Month for April.
 
Superintendent Peter Livingston presented the awards during the Board of Trustees’ monthly meeting on Thursday, April 11th.

“She exhibits unwavering dedication in working with some of our most challenging students, going above and beyond to ensure their success,” Mr. Livingston said, quoting  the Middle High School administrators. “Not only does she excel in her teaching role, but she also extends a helping hand to her colleagues, while embodying teamwork and collaboration. Ms. Stohs offers her time to help new teachers that are going through their credential programs. Her commitment to offering extra support and guidance to our students sets a remarkable example. Ms. Stohs infectious positivity uplifts the entire campus, creating an environment where students thrive. With her unwavering focus on what's best for kids, Ms. Stohs truly embodies the essence of an exceptional educator. She is a tremendous asset to the Lucerne Valley Middle High School team.”

“Kyle began his career here as a campus aide and quickly proved that he could benefit our students more by working directly with them in a classroom setting. Mr. Daniel has created caring and respectful relationships with the students he works with, providing an atmosphere of safety and trust. Students working with him understand his expectations for behavior and academics and they continually strive to meet them.
 
“Kyle works with students from several grade levels and student’s individualized needs are always at the forefront of his decision making process. He doesn’t give up when working with challenging students and he is able to firmly, but kindly redirect them away from negative or impulsive choices to keep them on task. He is well-liked by both students and staff at LVES and is sought after to assist in classrooms.
